Happy Belated Valentines Day to all of you from the Lima gals! (Kelley too. He took the picture)
The score is Ashley: 2 – Freya: 0. Ashley cut two teeth a week apart.
Merci “tante” Steph H. pour les onesies mignons! (Thank you “auntie” Steph H. for the cute onesies!)
Thank you to the Streeter family for these adorable onseies!
“Thank you Auntie Jennifer! We loved hearing daddy play before we were born and we love hearing him play now!”
Target Field here we come!
Thank you “auntie” Connie for having these specially made for us.
And they didn’t even cry!! Santa told us he, too, has twin sons in their thirties.
The girls have been busy learning how to sit up, play in their ExerSaucers, eat solids, and stare at each other. Their favorite solids include banana, sweet potato, and avocado. They do not like apples or carrots …yet.
Thank you “Auntie” Kris for the cute outfits!
We realized we need a third adult to get their attention next time. Teddy perched on the tripod only lasted so long. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours!
Ashley & Freya won their first contest!
HALO has a social media promotion for parents of babies born in hospitals that use their SleepSacks to post a picture on Instagram. Each week a picture is selected as the “HALO Baby Of The Week” and the winner receives a SleepSack wearable blanket.
So, we thought, why not. Kelley posted this picture from the hospital of Ashley and Freya wearing SleepSacks in the same bassinet. They were about 3 weeks old at the time, back in their true preemie days. And just yesterday HALO selected our girls as their Babies of the Week and decided the girls should each have their own SleepSack, so they’re sending us two.
Although HALO made a few typos, we appreciate our new gifts.
Thank you HALO!

Our neighbors Swami & Valli grew pumpkins in their garden this year and wanted to give the girls their first Halloween pumpkins. Thank you!
Freya was showing her mischievous side giving Ashley rabbit ears when she wasn’t looking.
Ashely was not happy about getting rabbit ears from her sister.
Happy Halloween Everyone!
The girls are now five months old (that’s three in preemie months for those of you keeping track). Freya is starting to roll over from tummy to back, stare at her hand and giggle at almost everything. Ashley is discovering the use of her arms by hitting herself in the face, laughs during diaper changes and is our most consistent full night sleeper (Freya needs to learn that).
The girls have outgrown sleeping together in their pack ‘n play in our room and are moving to the nursery tonight.
Here are some more pictures of the girls. Thank you again Julie, Kateri, Kelly and Nikki for the cute outfits!
At 4 months old Ashley weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces and Freya weighs 9 pounds 11 ounces. These are healthy weights for 4 month old preemies.
Krista has transitioned back to teaching 2nd Grade and Kelley is now daddy daycare while also teaching at the U of MN at night.
It was quite a struggle to get both girls to smile at the same time for this picture, even though they both smile often.
Ashley and Freya are laughing and following people with their eyes. They enjoy watching our ceiling fan, riding in the Baby Bjorn, and recess in their cribs with their mobiles in action.
We want to thank all of you who have been supportive of Ashley & Freya, especially for giving them gifts and loaning us some fun baby equipment. It means a lot to all four of us.
